When he goes back to China for a vacation, a real one, a whole two months, the people who've known and loved Zhou Mi for ages tell him he looks different. More tired, they say, than when he was promoting, more melancholy, even, than the time when he had more anti-fans than fans. Why?, they all ask him, what's wrong?

He smiles and he knows they know he's faking it but says, anyway, it's nothing, really, I've just been busy. You might not see me on TV all the time but I've been busy.He stays in China for those two months, mostly in Beijing, though he takes a few trips out to Wuhan and Taiwan to visit friends. He doesn't tell a single one the truth, even though they keep asking him why. He thinks they all manage to figure it out, themselves, sooner or later, just from the way he hesitates, the way he lies. They all knew, or suspected, what had been going on at some point in time, and he's certain there's a reason none of them ever, ever mention anything about it

They haven't talked in months. He's busy, everyone assures him, really, really busy, and Zhou Mi believes them, because he has to, but he knows there's something else there, too, something he wishes Kyuhyun would tell him, would take just five minutes out of his schedule to explain.

When Zhou Mi comes back from China, he tells himself he'll find Kyuhyun, hunt him down once and for all and talk things out, whatever they are.

He doesn't. He waits, instead. After a while, he wonders if Kyuhyun even realizes that there will always, always be space in his heart for him, if he ever decides he wants to reclaim it. After a longer while, he decides he must not.

He still keeps it open, just in case.
