Jongin watches them debut on TV, and he sees the way Taemin takes the stage like a boy possessed even at fifteen. His veins swell with pride, yet his heart fills with venom at the thought that he let it slip from out of his fingers. Jongin bites his lip and tells himself that it was never meant to work.
