sulli calls jieun asking her out on a girl date a week after the interview, but only after a good amount of prodding from luna and amber who thought jieun's public confession to be much too adorable for sulli to do nothing about it. it would be a good chance for sulli to make some friends her age, they reasoned, and sulli more or less went along with it because the prospect of spending the next three months sequestered to a drama set surrounded with noisy, stinky boys still required too rough a transition from clean, quiet, girl-group dorm life. and plus, sulli was never one to pass up an opportunity to make new friends. jieun was pretty and talented and popular, and sulli was sure that they'd get along just fine

jieun hates sulli's new haircut. the way it gathers around her ears makes the roundness of her face seem childish and unpolished, as if there was an intentional effort to strip away from sulli any semblance of graceful femininity she had and reconstruct her into some flower boy caricature that only came across to jieun as being slightly convincing because sulli was already so damn tall

two hours later, the waiting room is filled with people and the sound of noisy conversation mixed with the constant whirr of the coordi-unnies' blow dryers gives jieun a headache. she sits on one of the couches with her eyes closed and weighs the consequences of painkiller-induced drowsiness against the incessant pounding in her head

omg omg omg, i was not expecting this to be filled (no one ever fills my prompts) but it was and, let me tell you, it was fantastic. i loved the almost....melancholic?? feel to it. like, iu's in so deep that it hurts but i love it. and the short, but so poignant, amber cameo is just fodder for some grade a meta that someone should write. thank you~!♥
