Things r better. She apologized to me. We are working on it. Thanks for the bday wishes. You don't have to send me anything. OK since you insist. Dad took Grant, I , Kinzie and Elinor out to PONDEROSA(imagine with the echoing announcer voice) for dinner on Sat. Mom sent me a card with a surprise in it. Other than that, I am used to not getting anything or not doing anything. But thanks for your concern, I know all the mumbo jumbo crap about I am a good mom and I just have to stand my ground. She is the kid and she'll get over it. Rules are rules and that is it. I, like many, have weak moments and attitude clashes with my 12teen year old. Most the time we always rebound. Our family has always been one for mother-daughter clashes...or maybe all families have them. All part of growing up.

I don't know what the issue was but you're right, at her age it's soooooooooooooo important to make sure she follows the rules and doesn't bounce too far the wrong direction. (does that make sense? i dunno) Of course, everything's a balancing act.
