I decided that booze is magical when consuming raw food.

one night, the office ppl in Japan took us out, which also means lots and lots of drinking. We ate lots of raw-fish sushi, and everyone but the momo kid drank booze. he spent the night vomiting. except he didnt use the bathroom. He lived upstairs, and he decided to puke out the window. I lived below him. i heard it all, from the groans of displeasure to the splattering of the vomit on the grass. it was nasty. No one else had problems witht he food. go figure. ^_^ i think the alcohol killed the nastiness in the food. mwahahah. atleast that is the belief i will stick to.

I am using the books some, the smaller one I actually carry with me in my coat, though I rarely pull it out anymore, it's more of an insurance plan at this point if I can't explain myself. Don't bank on fluency, I don't think it's likely to happen. Wei-guk, wey-gook or any permutation of those syllables basically means foreign. It really means "not Korea", but that's the same basic idea. If they want to be more specific they'll say mi-guk, or mi-guk ssa-ram, meaning American person. In the same way, they call themselves han-guk ssa-ram. Don't bet on the Korean wife either. It's only been two months, but the language barrier is pretty extreme and there's more traveling I want to do before I consider settling down.
