When I was a kid, my parents used to make me put my nose on a dot on the wall, usually slightly higher or lower than my nose when I misbehaved. It usually infuriated me, because its fucking embarrassing to have to stand with your nose on a wall.
Not a bad plan. When it's one kid to punish, it's not a big deal. Having to teach a half-dozen or dozen other kids while enforcing punishment for a few more is not a viable strategy. I'd love to try that one, but I'd just keep yelling at them to get their nose back on the wall. Even worse than that, they'd pretend not to understand, and I'd have a time-consuming battle of the wits on my hands. I unfortunately only have about 80 minutes per week with a given group of kids, so it's more of a sprint than an endurance race. Still, the input is appreciated.
