Went to 50th Anniversary Who showing at theater

I think the best bit about watching the 50th anniversary special in the theater was looking around and seeing all these kids who weren't born when my Doctors were on the air

I haven't watched the last two (?) seasons of Eleven, but I hadn't seen Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart's daughter before, either, despite the fact that U.N.I.T. made appearances in a few episodes I recall (especially one of Ten's). I'm wondering if she was thrown in just for the 50th Anniversary special.
