vaguely remember, from the ancient days, that there were step ladders specifically built for use on stairs so you could reach high ceilings.
course, could just be delusional on my part - seems now days I'm remembering more stuff that never was.
then again, you could try one of those long reach bulb grabbers as well.
the lights in my garage are 4 foot long shop lights hung from chains that you can bare reach from the top of an 8 foot step ladder.
one has been burnt out for nearly a year now. swaying atop the ladder, trying to hold on for balance while inserting a long glass tube and properly twisting it into place just did not work.
The long-reach grabbers won't work because the bulb is under a dome, which is screwed on somehow. And honestly, I've never been able to find an extension pole long enough to even use to clean up the cobwebs around it. Dusting the ceiling is like target practice every week when I throw the towels down one-by-one on their way to the laundry. :)
