There are so many things wrong with the article. Like, for example, my case - I did *not* want to have kids by myself, and did not find someone I was willing to have them with until now, and I'm 38. What, I'm supposed to just let some guy knock me up and then end up attached to someone whose genes I really don't want to perpetuate for the rest of my life? Because I would end up attached to said guy, even if only through my child (unless, like my cousin who realized she was going to turn 40 and didn't have anyone in her life she wanted to have kids with, I find a man willing to knock me up but not have anything to do with the kid.)

Now, granted, my husband does not believe in taking extraordinary measures to get pregnant, we are both willing to adopt, and given my family history I'll likely be fertile into my mid-forties. (One example is the aforementioned cousin, but my mother had me at age 41.5 and I was her first. She also was in my situation, and as far as I know, never took birth control because she didn't believe in it.)
