Just a quick update to mention that I leave the country in one week exactly. This time, next sunday, I will be on my Qantas flight to New York via LA. I have to buy myself a magazine to read on the flight...Marie Claire or Instyle? I haven't decided yet

I think you should buy both magazines... and take a discman or mp3 player! its quite a long flight isnt it? it sounds like its going to be an awsome trip though!

And i agree with jen, about the other stuff - dont stress over it. Go on your trip and have the time of your life and see how things are when you get back. Who knows - you might not even want him when you get back!

yeah it's a huge flight, 14 hours to LA, then 5 to NY. So I may just take your advice and buy both mags. I'm getting excited finally...but I really should start packing! I haven't even started yet!

Your friend Jen sounds really cool. I agree about buying both of the magazines. I can't imagine being on a plane that long. I could go through both of the magazines on just the LA to NY leg of the flight!

Hey Kristin,
yeah, Jen's fabulous. Love her to pieces. I'm seeing her again this Friday which should be great.
I'm going to NY first for two weeks, then moving on up to Toronto. It should be interesting, I'm looking forward to both trips now...I'm most looking forward to meeting my friends...that's the biggest thing for me. I'm going to make the most of this trip, that's for sure!

New York is one of my favorite cities in the world. I'm sure you'll love it!!! You totally need to go to Chinatown and into one of their little shops with purses and ask to see the fake designer bags. They hide them in the back, and you can negotiate the prices, but they look exactly like designer handbags. It's so wonderful!!
