Jenova had spent much of the last few days simply making repairs to cellular damage as well as integrating new genes into her genome that would prove useful. She had required a change to properly gain access to the materia that her body contained, especially for the change in the winds. Soon enough battle would be upon them... Angeal had brought the change in winds. Others would follow.

Settling her hands on the window frame, she stared across the open field that faced towards Midgar. She had rested her cells enough, but there was no reason to spread her energies thin yet. Taming the black sheep would require much energy.

Turning her head towards the sound of both Sephiroth's mental voice and knocking, Jenova's mismatched eyes focused on the extended hand. She went back to staring out of the window with her back to Sephiroth, the twigs and leaves that had come to take inhabitation in her hair moving along the skin of her thighs. Sephiroth. Enter if you wish.

Sephiroth didn't need to be invited further. He entered the room and stood briefly in the doorway watching Jenova before approaching her, standing just a couple of feet away from her silver-covered back. So similar to his own, but then why wouldn't it be?

He followed her gaze out into the open field, it was so peaceful here.

There is a tension around today... Sephiroth commented idly, taking one step closer to his Mother. Reaching out and taking a particularly fragile dead leaf out of the tangle of her hair. It crumbled at the movement and a second later the remains of it was discarded onto the floor. It was possible to feel the warmth emanate at this close distance from Sephiroth since his skin was still greatly warmed from the recent shower. A few strays drips of water from his hair slid down along one side of his bare chest before spotting onto the floor, a little irritated by it Sephiroth ran the comb through the full length of his hair just one more time before flicking it all back over his shoulder. It hung at the same ( ... )

Turning her head again at the feel of Sephiroth's hand reaching out and taking one of the many insignificant annoyances from her physical form, Jenova watched as the leaf crumbled away. The deadened specks dropped to the floor without a sound, but there were more where that one came from she knew. It mattered not as they did not hinder her progress.

Her mismatched gaze returned to the window before she stood at her full height next to Sephiroth. She could feel the brush of Sephiroth's hair as it passed by to settle against the taller male's back. She glanced to the comb that Sephiroth held, seeing it more as a weapon than a useful device.

The winds are changing... a storm comes on the horizon. All the work is coming across the plains to meet us, she said simply. With Angeal would be many more because they were not hiding. There is no need to be concerned.

Another object from Jenova's hair is absentmindedly plucked from her silver locks. Sephiroth clearly takes good care of his own hair and therefore finds it quite odd how she could just allow things to settle in her own hair. But then, maybe it's the same as her permanent nakedness. Perhaps she simply does not see the need. He'd likely adjust to it as well in time as he had done the latter.

At her glance he slides the comb into the waistband created by the towel, she briefly reminded him of a child who would glare at it's parent in the event of it being told it needs to take a bath, or indeed brush it's own hair. That was an odd thought, since it was his Mother doing it.

Then why stare out at the horizon as if it's about to smite you from this realm. What comes will come and we will be ready Sephiroth answers her, going back over to sit on the edge of the undisturbed bed. Pulling the ends of his hair around the front of him a little at a time he started to detangle the still slightly damp ends with the comb.

Watching out of the corner of her eye, Jenova noted how another leaf was plunked from her hair. There was the tiniest shift of the hair against her scalp from the action, but it wasn't unpleasant. It appeared that her collection of stray bits of the planet were pointless and perhaps should be removed? She had never considered it important.

I shall never be smited again. The planet shall never trap me within its belly ever again... nothing can destroy my reign, she said and smirked. The Cetra were dead, unable to weave their pitiful magicks to bind her in a single form again. Those days were long over, two thousand years wasted because of them. Never again.

Turning away from the window, Jenova watched at Sephiroth's simple grooming. Many humans performed such actions every day. Her eyes followed even move of the comb through the ends of Sephiroth's hair without a word, clearly trying to learn from this necessity of her son's. Why do you stand under water for so long if this is the result? It seemed like a lengthy process, one that ( ... )

If anyone else had asked him that question Sephiroth would have probably laughed at them. As it stood, Jenova was not of the human race and therefore how could she know the necessities of cleaning and grooming. It wasn't something that Sephiroth had considered. Not that she ever appeared dirty and unclean to him. But then her cells constantly regenerated so perhaps they cleaned their selves ( ... )

Ah, so standing under water was for hygiene? In doing so, aspects of the epidermal layer would be cleased of unwanted parasites, dirt, and dead cells? It seemed like an appropriate manner of keeping the largest organ of the mortal body clean. It seemed to make sense to her, when she thought about it; it was not a behaviour that she had experienced personally.

Considering the topic at hand, Jenova tilted her head curiously over the manner in which Sephiroth maintained unknotted hair and even removed one. Such was also not an activity that she had endured, though she would have thought pulling on one's scalp an unreasonable way to remove such knots.

Perhaps I too shall experience this activity, she said and looked towards the door. Her long silver hair shifted against her back before parting and moving over her shoulders by command. She picked out a small twig and peered at it. Foreign matter should be integrated or discarded?
