I came across most of my friends through add me communities, frenzies or friends of friends that I had struck up comment ocnversations. I had my journal for a long time and had a great bunch of people but when I left and came back again hmm 18 months to 2 years most of them had all fallen by the wayside so I took it upon myself to see if any of the ones that I had gotten on with were still active and if they were to see if they would refriend.. which is pretty much what you are doing.
LJ is pretty much a hit and miss community for every awesome friend that you get on with you will have 5 that aren't such awesome friends, but they are still lovely to know. And sometimes, when you put the time in and you get to interact they actually become awesome friends.
Lets disregard for the purpose of science how many we defriend in the whole thing ;)

Yeah Ive noticed that people can be very sensitive when you don't actively reply or email within a specific time, I read all comments both posted and replied to in my entries, but sometimes I take a while in getting back to them. Ive had a few brushes with some wierdos' nothing major as you've had, but enough to make think shit, don't take things so personally.
Lovely, I added you back on GR. :D
Now onwards with catching up on whats being going on with everyone (yourself included) over the weekend, now that Ive a moment to actually sit down and read :D
