My neighbor kind of scares me. A few times a week I'll be awake in the early morning, and I will hear crashing and banging and smashing coming from his trailer. I hope this doesn't sound ignorant of me, since I'm not completely familiar with Tourettes, but I don't think he has it. I've spoken to him many times outside during the daytime and he is a completely calm and normal person. He doesn't have any ticks (I see him in our park and at the store and on the street, if I wasn't awake at night when he did this I would think nothing strange about him at all). I'm kind of guessing that Tourettes is kind of with you at all times, not just during one time of the day? I really am not 100% sure though.

I'd be pretty bold to go over there at this time of night anyhow. He does this anytime between 2am and 6am, I'd personally be pretty angry if any of our neighbors came over at this hour even if they saw my lights on lol. I would rather leave him to his privacy at night time. But I admit I am still scared.

Well, if it is bugging you, and it legitimately scares you, you could ask for police assistance. They would just go over and talk to him and they could do the dirty work for you when it came to asking him to calm down. THat way, if he is really violent the way he sounds, the police are armed with both lethal and nonlethal means and can do something about it. That's what I would do in a situation where I had a scary neighbor who did that in the dark hours of the morning, if I didn't have the nerve to go over and ask him to calm down a little.

Heh. Maybe he's a video game player and he is getting pissed off at other gamers, throwing controllers, slamming keyboads, etc. :D

It is definitely bugging me, but at this point of time he isn't harming anyone else and really it's just unsettling to listen to. I don't think that he would come over here and I am not threatened by him, it's just... scary to hear at night.
I don't think it's video games though, maybe I'm just passing judgement, but he's a bit older than middle aged and doesn't seem the type! But I really have no idea. Maybe you're right and he just hates getting his ass handed to him at Halo haha.

To be honest, I'm more worried for his own safety when I hear him. But the next day, he's just fine like nothing happened. Idk.

That is odd. I wish I knew what to say. Maybe you could ask him about it. Maybe he has night terrors. I don't know. But if the next day he seems fine, then maybe it's just an exorcism of sorts.

Either way, I suppose you don't have many options...

Uhhh yeah, I have to admit that would scare the crap out of me, too.. o.O I can't say I've ever had an experience like that before, but if I did, I'd probably assume he was just really excited over a video game he was doing badly on (as a previous commenter suggested). I would just push any doubts aside, picture him inadvertently running Super Mario into some lava, and go about my business. It would make me feel a lot better, whether it's true or not.. 8D

Haha I hate to say it but I like that image! He's an older man so I do not think that games are the reason behind it. It's just hard to feel calm when I hear it when I have absolutely no clue what is happening in there. I said this above, I do not think I am in any danger... and I don't think he is a danger to anyone else. But it still scares me to listen to!
