Overall summary: Sometimes we get the balance wrong. Life is not about knowing the answers, life is what happens while you're looking for them. And the bad decisions? The screw-ups? They're what keep it interesting.

In answer to your question, I'd like to say I'm very organised and structured when writing... but I'm not *lol*. I did have a plan for the fic beforehand (I need something - I tend to write out of sequence a lot - I think I wrote the final chapter before I'd finished chapter 10!) but the trouble with me and plans is that I rarely stick to them. Things tend to evolve - and then I end up re-writing entire chapters. It's messy. Believe me! Because of this though, I work really hard to make sure the continuity is there & I'm constantly re-reading parts to make sure they fit - so I love that you pointed that out! Thank you *g*
...I think maybe I need to start writing in the right order though. It would make things a whole lot easier!

What can I say about this fic that hasn't already been said? There's just no denying how wonderful it is. Every chapter was such a treat to read, so thank you so much for taking the time and effort to write each one and for sharing your beautiful fic with us :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed this fic & it's ending. It was a bit of a beast to write, so knowing people enjoyed it makes it all worth while! And hopefully it won't take me ages to get that epilogue up... I've started it... just not got much further yet (been on holiday - that's my excuse!)

Don't worry; I know the epilogue will be worth the wait ;)

I had to wait till I got home and ended up reading it in one sitting.
I absolutely loved it. I loved how human Rogue was throughout the whole story, her struggles, her emotional development. I loved that you included Mystique and made her more than her usual one-dimensional self.
And I loved how realistic you made the love story, where it took forever for the two of them to get over their fears.
Since the fandom isn't as new anymore, it's hard to find w/r stories you really can loose yourself in and I was hooked by the first paragraph.
This is definitely in my "need to print out" list.
Brava!
