Fic: More Than A Rogue - (29/29) - No promises

Jun 15, 2009 22:25

Overall summary: Sometimes we get the balance wrong. Life is not about knowing the answers, life is what happens while you're looking for them. And the bad decisions? The screw-ups? They're what keep it interesting.

Follows on from X3 - after the cure has failed - Rogue's POV
Genre: Action/Shipper/Angst/Humour fic... so basically everything.

Wow! I just read this in a ridiculously short amount of time, and I could not get enough. I absolutely loved it. I wish I could give you some kind of constructive feedback, but I don't even know where to start. This was epic. Did you have the whole thing planned out beforehand, or did you just make it up as you went along? Because I am very impressed at the amount of detail/continuity. You write the details very well, so that it almost feels as though the reader is right there.

Amazing job, and thank you for this! xx

Thank you! I'm sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been away - but I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Ha - yeah - it was epic. It took me over two damn years to write! There's love/hate relationship going on between me and the fic *g*.

In answer to your question, I'd like to say I'm very organised and structured when writing... but I'm not *lol*. I did have a plan for the fic beforehand (I need something - I tend to write out of sequence a lot - I think I wrote the final chapter before I'd finished chapter 10!) but the trouble with me and plans is that I rarely stick to them. Things tend to evolve - and then I end up re-writing entire chapters. It's messy. Believe me! Because of this though, I work really hard to make sure the continuity is there & I'm constantly re-reading parts to make sure they fit - so I love that you pointed that out! Thank you *g*

...I think maybe I need to start writing in the right order though. It would make things a whole lot easier!

A perfect ending (or almost-ending because I do hope you'll give us that epilogue or mini companion fic!) to a perfect fic. She doesn't decide to stay with him; he goes with her *sighs* So lovely!

What can I say about this fic that hasn't already been said? There's just no denying how wonderful it is. Every chapter was such a treat to read, so thank you so much for taking the time and effort to write each one and for sharing your beautiful fic with us :)

Thank you so much for all your feedback! I love reading it. It makes me grin lots! *g*

I'm so glad you enjoyed this fic & it's ending. It was a bit of a beast to write, so knowing people enjoyed it makes it all worth while! And hopefully it won't take me ages to get that epilogue up... I've started it... just not got much further yet (been on holiday - that's my excuse!)

Well, what can I say. I started reading this last week when I went on vacation, and instead of wanting to go to the beach, I wanted to stay inside and read this.
I had to wait till I got home and ended up reading it in one sitting.
I absolutely loved it. I loved how human Rogue was throughout the whole story, her struggles, her emotional development. I loved that you included Mystique and made her more than her usual one-dimensional self.
And I loved how realistic you made the love story, where it took forever for the two of them to get over their fears.
Since the fandom isn't as new anymore, it's hard to find w/r stories you really can loose yourself in and I was hooked by the first paragraph.
This is definitely in my "need to print out" list.
Brava!

Thank you! :oD I'm so flattered you enjoyed it that much! It was a really difficult one to write at times (a rather complex Rogue & a very stubborn Logan... you have no idea how frustrating they can be! - I pretty much threw a party when I finally got them to talk!) It took me two years! So your feedback makes me a very happy person *grins*

Hope you had a good vacation!

There may be a few post fic drabbles - but no full on sequel - sorry. It's time to work on some different stories I think.
