I second that. Any other ending wouldn't fit with the tone of the story. Thanks for writing it. I always like to read a good written angst story. But now, I seriously need to read a fic that Marie wouldn't have Logan. Ha, that'll show him :)

I agree with carriewr - it was the right ending for this story. And I like the idea of her and Scott growing closer over time and their relationship evolving organically. It's what happened to them in my Road series.

I'm usually a big fan of the Logan & Marie happy ending as well, but it really didn't fit in this fic (I did try, actually!) This one went in a direction even I didn't expect at first. But I kinda like the idea that it's not really an ending for Marie, more of a beginning

I've just now sat and read this whole story through. It was utterly beautiful. The emotions of Marie so clearly expressed and also that of the other people around her. Which is amazing considering that this story is told in first person.

I am completely an angst monster and i think you have quite fed it today! I am defiinitely going to explore your other fics now hoping I can find a happy one because I love your writing.

Thank you :o) I'm so glad you liked it! I'm more of a foof monster usually myself, so you should find plenty of happy fics lurking round here. Or there's More Than a Rogue, which has a bit of everything (well... that was the aim, anyway...!)
