OMG Carsten! Poor, poor darling. I really like this(2 more parts coming? YAY!). I like how Carsten's recovery is told to us by a third party, but I'd love to know some of Eric's thoughts at some point about the whole thing. He is so sweet when he's being protective. I love their relationship:)

The next part is told from Eric's POV, which was fun to write and which I'd guess will be fun to read, although perhaps "fun" isn't the right word.... as I said upstairs in comments, it was a way for me to explore vampires' lack of human feelings, as well as an outsiders' view of our favorite characters.

I loved seeing the interplay between Eric and Godric through the eyes of someone else, it added weight to the details of the story to which we are accustomed to and take for granted at this point, of course, for cold creatures like vampires the dynamic between Eric and Godric or Eric and Carsten is hardly normal.

I felt bad for Carsten and Eric because they did not even bother to clean him before returning him to Eric, it seems like a very painful scenario for both of them.

ps:I was forgetting to add that I also felt bad for Carsten because he was raped, it might be my kink but it broke my heart, although I must admit that I felt morbidly entertained, I'm such a creep and I can't help it.

Well, since two people asked me point blank for a Carsten rape fic, I wouldn't feel too morbid and creepy about being entertained... as you've already noted, I had my limits on what "specific" detail I was providing there, and the somewhat-removed POV helped. As Eric tells the next bit, that's going to be lively. :)

The cleaning bit was gross and ... relevant to the next part of the story. And illustrative of how disgusting this group of vampires is.

I LOVE THIS.

The writing is seriously superb. I was continually moved, impressed, and intrigued. Your detail and subtly is fantastic.

Like everyone else, I enjoyed the refreshing change of POV. It was definitely interesting to see how other vampires viewed Eric and Godric's relationship as well as Eric and Carsten's.

I am definitely curious to see how this plays out.

I was so, so pleased with this fic. From a writing standpoint. I'm sure it will come as no surprise that I like some fics better than others ... this gave me a completely different perspective from which to study the characters.

Part II is fun because it's Eric's POV. Intense, but fun. Well, maybe "fun" isn't the right word, either.

Poor Carsten!

At one point the boy said oden, something about oden, as he wept, inconsolable, clutching at the vampire who held him close and stroked his back and petted him, letting him weep and wail as he whispered to him. - Aww, he's upset he lost the medallion :(

It was really neat to see Eric and Carsten's relationship seen from two outside POVs

Oh no!!! I tried to warn you before you wandered in here ... well, you seem okay with it.

This fic made me so sad I can't even tell you. I loved it as a piece of writing but what a depressing fic.
