Wow, I've been reading for a while (I've read everything you've written since the beginning and I'm such a fan!) but this is the best so far.

Totally. Speechless. Almost.

I love the underlying communication between Godric and Carsten that seems to go on even before they share blood. It's so powerful.

The food thing was fun. To be honest, I've always felt sorry for them with no food. Immortality without food seems almost cruel.

That last scene - awwww. Glad Carsten's not so scared of Godric anymore, and Godric's not so jealous/disapproving of Carsten and his relationship with Eric.

I always have these details in my head ... Godric and the other vampire had been toying with him, he was there willingly (extreme bdsm, so much fun for kinky humans who can then be healed). But Godric hadn't settled in for the leisurely sex-and-blood-drinking part before Carsten arrived, poor thing.

Ok, so I said I didn't want to leave an incoherent, rambling comment, but I just read this again and got to the food kink, and you know what that does to me...but I'll try my best.

I think this is a lovely little closing to this arc (for the time being, at least). There is so much I love--the food kink, obviously, the switching clothes (so hot), the way Carsten took charge (so hot again), and a dozen other wonderful details. Loved the sensuality of this fic, especially after Carsten has a bit of Godric's blood--all those sights and smells leaping out, all those tangled up, intertwining emotions; sooo good.

I get this undefinable sense of sadness under all the erotic charge of this fic. I've noticed it when I've read some of your other stories, but I really feel it here. That final scene, with Godric just sitting in the hotel room all packed up to leave, with everything looking like he's never been there...you're ripping my heart out, darling.

Yes, I know, me and the undefinable sadness ... part coming from me, no doubt, at finally reaching this point. But I think a major part (tmi ahead) was: when I banished The Roof, I allowed a certain fundamental, inconsolable bit to remain. An alone-ness that nobody else can ever banish, no matter how much love there is. But at the same time, I hope I conveyed the very quiet sense of joy I felt finally reaching that point in their bedroom. Remember, this is the fic I spent months and months trying to write, and Carsten kept running out of the room screaming Do Not Want!!! It's not perfect for them, but Godric and Carsten can be together. I loved my strange food twist so much. You have no idea (well, maybe SOME idea) how much it saddens me, a human, that they can't eat.
