This was great- i like that she is realising Eric is genuine about her son. And Godric walking past...I really want her to meet Godric...

Carsten has a nice mom, which is no surprise, right? And Godric's sticking around for the next installment...

I really like Carstens mother. She seems sensible and protective, wise enough to know she can't really win but still managing to make it look like she actually has. I loved Godrics 'walk through'. I expect Carstens going to have an interesting evening.

I'm working on their interesting evening right now, lol. And I think you described Carsten's mother perfectly. She knows she can't win but she isn't just going to roll over and give up.

Very excited to see that you're working on this 'verse again! It's my favorite True Blood crossover, you write Carsten and Danes in general perfectly. I really enjoyed this part - Carsten is young, but smart, Eric is honest about what he wants (even if he glosses over the truth a bit to get it), and Carsten's mom is so, so awesome.

Looking forward to the next installment! (My icon is not very subtle.)

Are you Danish, by any chance? I read a lot of Scandinavian thrillers, it's fun thinking about the ways the US is different, which has been a theme running through this fic series from the very beginning. Thanks for the compliments. I love writing Eric, he's trying to be honest and good in Carsten's world, but he lies when he needs to.

Uh, your icon will get its wish in the next bit, which thus far is a little creepier than I'd planned, so it may not be your thing.

I'm not Danish, but I went to school there for a while and some of my closest friends are Danes. It's a fascinating culture, quite different from the rest of Europe. There's something stark about it, this thread of logic running through everything.

I really enjoy the way you write Eric. The way he thinks and acts in your fics feels very natural. He's often written as if he's American, but who lives for a thousand years and still belongs to a single culture? Let alone one they've been exposed to for only a few decades.

Creepy is quite alright with me. Looking forward to the next bit!

Thanks, it's always nice to know someone is reading and enjoying all the work, and comments are the only way I can find that out!
