The School Databases seem helpful, yet restrictive.  For my particular purposes of looking up specific facts about the personal background of Lincoln and Breckinridge, I think Google will do just fine, and a book from the good ol library.  It was cool to learn about the LRC though becuase I knew nothing about it.

I just want to tell you that Google is not allowed for this research. Do not use it!!

We're allowed to use Google, it's just a basic search engine for the internet like msn or yahoo. The librarian was just trying to show us alternative ways to do research with the school database, because the school pays good money for it.

ya Im the same way!! I think that you should be able to use google as long as you make sure the webpage is a credible site. Thats just the way that I have learned how to find information all of my school years!!! I wish they had taught me to use databases in like first grade, then it would be so much easier.
