I like your reasoning on this. Sharelle's family members make lists of what they want and then pass the lists to each other. For them, the surprise is in not knowing which of those gifts they're going ot get. The good thing is that they never have to worry about taking something back to the store to exchange a gift because they know they're going to want what they received.
