Ok, seriously. Perhaps re-reading you will realize that this is one of the most beautiful chapters and emotionally interesting
Matt and Hal are the friends that anyone would want to have!
I always thought that Matt would be the kind of friend who could be more, but that circumstances have not allowed. But it's always been there when she needed it, and understand it. He understands how he feels and who and what suffers.
Matt is a character that I'm loving so much!
The same thing can be said about Hal. Ollie is like a brother and knows that his friend is in danger of saying goodbye forever to his opportunity to be happy.
I'm so anxious to read the encounter between Oliver and Matt, I'm sure this guy will be a source of inspiration for our adorable blond!
I think it's a writer thing- being your own worst critic et al. But I'm glad you enjoyed this chapters.
They are good friends, and not going to lie... I wish I had a Matt or Hal in my life. I'm a sucker for original characters, so it's always so rewarding to know that they add something meaningful to the story. To an extent, that applies to Hal too because I don't write him often.
Their conversation is important, definitely eye-opening to both guys.
Exactly what I thought how Chloe must have felt! However, I’m quite relieved when Chloe got most support and comfort from Matt as a real good friend when she desperately needed. Loving Hal a lot for what he said to Oliver and loving this story! Thank you and excitingly waiting for more.
Feelings are kind of all over the place right now, but Chloe and Oliver have people that they can rely on, which really matters right now. You'll see more of that in the coming chapters, as Clark finally says his two cents.
Aww, Matt's a good friend, isn't he. You deftly avoided a potentially questionable motivation for him wanting to help Chloe by providing a little of their background of a time when she was there for him. I liked that they addressed the what-ifs from their past. They have a great camaraderie, and I'm getting hints of a good future working relationship should Chloe return to Star City to stay.
I just love how intelligent your characters are. As much as I want Chloe and Oliver to get over their fears I understand them. It makes them so much more sympathetic when you get where their actions are coming from. Which makes the involvement from other characters all the more welcome.
And that brings me to Hal. God I love Hal in this. I wanted to throw him a damn parade. I was going to quote him, but would have ended up copying his entire rant. Hal gets a gold star.
Absolutely love where you left it - this conversation is going to be good. As always - thank you for the wonderful update :)
Matt is a good friend, and that was always my intention for him. It's tough for him, but he sees what Oliver brings out of her, even from a distance, which is why he feels he has to call Oliver.
I'm so glad you think that I write them as intelligent people. Because they are. I wasn't sure if I was going to pull that off in this portion, as it's a tougher balance than I thought, so to get the thumbs up from you is appreciated :)
Hal is awesome, and a thrill to write, so go ahead and throw a virtual parade.
