Updating while I can...
Well, neopariah is back at work from his vacation. My week of night audit has come to a close. I just hope I didn't mess anything up. :P
Wednesday morning, after I got off of work, I went to Modesto to see my family and friends. neopariah and wollyboy were supposed to come with me so we could hang out and have fun for neopariah's birthday. Last minute though they changed their minds and decided to stay here in Sacramento. Bummer. It was kind of a let down. I was really looking forward to hanging out with the guys and taking them around Modesto to meet my old friends and have a good time. Oh, well. Perhaps another time.
So, I went anyway. Mom and Emilie came to pick me up. Since I hadn't slept yet I didn't stay up long after getting to Dad's house. I played with Emilie for a few minutes and then crashed on the couch.
That night I went to see Sin City with my dad and brothers. My youngest brother confusedone01 just turned 18 on April 10th. So, since I wouldn't be there for his birthday, I wanted us to hang out and do something fun prior to that. Sin City was that something.
The movie was great. We all loved it. It's one I'll want to buy. Enough about the movie though. Go see it for yourself if you're interested.
We ended up going to the Galaxy Theater in Riverbank, so after the movie, since we were in Riverbank already, we went to check out the Hive. It's a new cybercade that's owned and run by a friend of mine. I hadn't been there yet since it opened so I wanted to check it out.
It definately has potential. He has the space, he has the ideas, he has the customer backing. I can see him out doing the Nexus(a popular cybercade in Modesto) easily.
While I was there I was introduced to Bawls. It's a caffinated energy drink that I'd never had before. Three hours and five Bawls later and I was hooked. The stuff is damned addictive!
Anyway, we didn't spend too much time at the Hive at that time. I wanted to get home and have a shower and Dad was getting rather impatient.
Back at Dad's house, I go up to take a shower and my brother whildhart and I then make arrangements to go out with 777vmm.
First stop was downtown. By this time it's after midnight. Town is dead quiet. No one is out. I remember not to long ago when downtown had active night life every night. You just had to know where to look. That night there was nothing. So we didn't stay long. Instead we went back to the Hive so that I could get some more Bawls and hang out with Verpian, the owner. We goofed off there until 2am when he closed up.
From there it was on to a park to meet up with a couple of friends that were out bored on a week night.
4am it was time to get home so that 777vmm could get her roommate awake and off to work on time.
I stayed up until 9am on the computer. Then I went to sleep.
I slept most of the day. I woke up briefly in the middle of the day, saw that there wasn't much happening yet, and went back to sleep.
I finally woke up for good at about 10:30pm.
I chatted with 777vmm and made arrangements for her to come by after she got done babysitting at midnight. Then I sat played some games on the computer to kill time.
While I was waiting for midnight to roll around, whildhart gets a call from sailorv61. She is on her way to Turlock to visit her family and wanted to stop and say hi to us first.
It's funny that she and I both live in Sacramento now but we have to go back home to Modesto to see each other. Anyway....
Well, not long after that 777vmm shows up, then sailorv61. The four of us pile into sailorv61's car and go to Denny's for some coffee. We sit and chat for a while, then decide(at my insistance) to drive to Riverbank to get some Bawls.
We get there about 10 minutes prior to closing time. We have our Bawls and chat for a while, then it's time to go home.
The three of us get dropped off back at Dad's place and sailorv61 leaves to go to Turlock.
777vmm couldn't stay long so we let her go and go in the house.
My brother was tired so he didn't stay up long.
I decided to stay up all night again. After all, I hadn't been awake that long yet and I hadn't spent much time with Emilie due to my sleep schedule. So the next morning when she woke up I was there and awake.
Grandma had plans with her though. So for the better part of the morning Emilie was gone with my grandmother and aunt. But I did get to play with her for a couple hours after they got home.
I was supposed to get a ride back to Sacramento from 777vmm that evening. Early that afternoon she calls and says that won't work. She's feeling light headed and dizzy and won't be safe to drive. Great. I needed to be back in time for work that night.
I made some inquiries and finally got in touch with my old friend, David, that I hadn't seen in a while. I chatted with him and he agreed to provide me with transportation to Sacramento. I just had to meet him at Downey Park. Not a problem, except that it was raining.
Dad helped with that some. He offered to give me a ride to the park and save me the 10-15 minute walk in the rain.
So, I met with David and we went to his house. I hung out there for a while with him and his roommate/ex-girlfriend, then we went over to 777vmm's house. She fed us brownies and I fell asleep in her recliner. Mind you, I'd been up all day and it was about 7pm. 30 minutes later they woke me up to go get packed and ready to go home. Back to Dad's house we all went.
I packed up, said my goodbyes, and set out for Sacramento.
I slept in the car from the time we left until the time we got to the off ramp that I told David to look for.
Took David, Amber, and 777vmm in to meet neopariah and wollyboy. They hung out together while I took my shower and got dressed for work. Then David gave me a ride to work and started back home to Modesto.
It was a good trip, mostly. I didn't get any pictures. I didn't get to spend as much time with Emilie as I had wanted. But it was fun.
