Holiday Speshul
Even by Winchester standards, this holiday season sucked.
First of all Bobby had decided that the Dominican Republic was far more interesting at Christmas than South Dakota and told the boys to mind themselves and not have the apocalypse in his absence.
Sam was determined to have a family Christmas, to which Dean had told him that they’d have to actually have a family and unless they had started stocking them in Walmart, next to the detergent and deep fried bacon wrapped turkies then that wasn’t going to happen.
When Sam just looked at him he quickly added the amendment “we aren’t kidnapping one either,” because Sam looked just evil
Sam just blinked at him.
So Sam went to Walmart and stocked up with premade TV dinners, turkey - now with real stuffing, that had to be cooked in the oven and not the microwave, which was the closest to being real food that they got outside diners.
There was shopping, it didn't bode well, but there had been shopping.
Dean had even gone to the mall.
So now they stood around the plastic potted plant draping it with artfully kept beer tabs, bottle lids and Sam sighed, “where’s Castiel when you need him?” He asked, he sounded somewhat despondant.
Sam didn't care for Castiel so it was a bit of a surprise. He actually sounded upset. “Why?” asked Dean.
“There’s no angel on the tree.”
