They have finished the rehearsal for today, and Kento is found sitting alone near the vending machine at the lobby. He sighed for the umpteenth time and kept playing with the empty bottle on his hand. He was thinking about the performance that is approaching. He couldn’t believe that the performance is due tomorrow. He felt like he’s not ready yet. He still thought that he need more practice. Even though this is not his first time anymore, but he still nervous to think what will happen when he makes mistake at the stage tomorrow. A tap on his shoulder woke him from the thought and he looked up to see who it was.
“Masei-kun? Aren’t you supposed to go home already?” He asked while staring at the older man in front of him.
“I was. But then I heard from the other that you haven’t go home. So I thought I will stay and wait for you so we could go home together. Is something been bothering you? You look a bit off…” He asked with concern before he sat beside him.
“It’s okay. I just need sometimes to think and calm myself a little…” he replied slowly. He was a bit afraid that the Inui’s actor will laugh at him. He felt so stupid suddenly for worrying about this kind of things. It was not his first time anymore, yet he still fussed over it.
“You’re worried about tomorrow aren’t you? It’s totally normal, nothing to be embarrassed about it. I’m also in the same position as you are.” He said that with a gentle smile playing on his lips.
“Really? I know it sounds stupid, but I’m really afraid that I will make mistakes tomorrow. It keeps repeating on my mind… I’m scared… I don’t want to disappoint everyone with my performance.. And then…”
He stopped ranting when he feel a finger was being pressed gently to his lips. He looked at his co-actor questioningly, but the other man just looked at him gently.
“Calm down, take a deep breath, everything will be okay tomorrow. You have done well in the practices and during the rehearsal today. Just dismiss that thought and think about something nice.”
“… I’ll try.” He said softly, “Thank you, I feel a lot better after talking to you.”
“I’ll give you a good luck charm for tomorrow. Close your eyes.” He ordered. Kento was confused, but he still complied to the request and did as he was told to.
He almost jolt in surprise when he felt a pair of warm lips covered his own. He was sure it was a pair of lips even though he couldn’t see it. He then opened his eyes when the other man pulled away, only to find that Masei’s face is only an inch from him. He blushed shyly and looked down to hide his embarrassment.
“Just believe in yourself. It will be fine. Trust me.” He said softly before he got off from the bench. He offered his hand to help Ono stand before he patted the younger man shoulder lightly. The Renji actor just nodded, before he smiled a little smile to him. He felt like he could give his best tomorrow without worrying anymore. He got his good luck charm after all.
