GW Monthly Tourney - Round 1
Played the first round of the National GW Warhammer tourney at the Columbia store against a guy named Wes who was playing Vampire Counts. Really nice guy, good opponent - played very well; it was a thinking game, with each player forcing decisions by the other and a couple of wacky dice rolls that added interesting amounts of drama at some key

It seemed there was a wood elf list and a skaven list that also played there today. Neither of them were very good, but the skaven guy was one of those old geeks with a bad grasp on the game, next to nothing painted and an illegal list. I'm not actually sure what was up with that, but I think he beat the wood elves so I'm hoping we're not matched up next month. I'm not even sure if they were in the tourney, but I suspect they were.
We'll see what I draw - I'm just happy the first game was a good one.
