Okay, so POST SECRET: I am super excited about this. After all the reading you've done and wonderful feedback you've left for Entropy over the past months, I'm glad to finally have a chance to return the favour! Plus, after hearing you mention Renerra for so long I'm glad to finally get a good look at it! :D
I love the idea of opening with a news report. It gets you RIGHT IN THERE from the get-go and delivers a lot of information without getting all text-book info-dumping about it. It's awesome that in a mere 400 words you can summarize the concept and history/origins of the school, and also point out the pros/cons and arguments for/against it. The idea for the school sounds really good as a concept, but I can see it could easily turn into a disaster.
