Home Again, Home Again, Jiggedy Jig

No LJ updates and no public appearances? It appears that I’ve been leading my usual reclusive lifestyle. But no! I wasn’t being Hermit Queene, I was actually at Gencon Indy, being Help-Monkey to Mr Reynolds. Big Huzzahs! to Tim and Jen for coming out with us (so to speak), and enhancing the trip.

So. The Indianapolis climate was as sauna-like as ( Read more... )

Aw, it was just really pleasant to have you both there, reprazenting Burleyshire with us! Can't wait to see your foties. We have a gargantuan stack now, as have been e-mailed some from other art showsters. We could even trade images, like some sort of collectable card game... Hey, hope you had a blast at Infest, BTW!

Infest was great, possibly one of the most fun so far!

:P

Photo trade sounds like a plan.......

Glad to hear that Infest was the Business :)) Will be stalking around for pics of Gilly's hat, and Jen in her corset. Oh, and we also have a little movie of the lightning storm from the hotel window that we could furnish you with. Bring back memories of getting drenched, eh?

Sounds ace and totally righteous. chunkular fanboys sound rather scary though.

Heh heh...they made it a bit warm and crowded, but they're generally a good crowd. It's the strange fanboys like the one I described on Friday (with the long curling nails and unwashed hair, who wanted to 'come to an arrangement') that are truly scary ;-) That fellow seemed to be Ghey For Art on several different levels!

It was awesome seeing you, as usual! Too bad it's only once a year, though. It was nice meeting Tim and Jen (and she definitely impressed me with her elfin charm!). If there's a goth dancy thing on Thursday again next year, I'll have to go with yall, as actual dancing at the White Wolf party was limited for me. Though I'll still have to attend that as I've got social obligations there.

I loved your description of the attendees! How eerily accurate! O.O

Aw, sorry to hear you didn't get to throw many shapes on the dancefloor. But you certainly looked top notch in your corset/pinstripe shirt ensemble ;-) We didn't actually do *any* dancing, if that's any consolation! Everyone there was too cool, shy or apathetic to Shake It, and we just people-watched. Maybe we should make a concerted effort to finally attend the White Wolf bash with you next year, instead..although it always seems that there's some place we need to be too, or someone we said we'd meet. We all need stunt doubles. Or bi-location powers. That would solve a few problems :)

The music at the White Wolf party was more hard-core industrial rather than dance-able goth tunes. I like industrial, but I find it better for driving than dancing. I did enjoy myself, though. I'm beginning to realize that I've been taking the goth club in Dallas rather for granted. It's fairly decent compared to ones that I've experienced elsewhere. Heh.

I'm hearing you! When I go out in Leeds (OK, that's once every 500 years these days...), I'm all about the dancing, and there's usually a supply of accessible tunes. With a top bit of Britney Spears thrown in, because the Brits are so Ironic. Not all clubs are so user-friendly...especially in Indiana ;-) I must not take the tunes (or the Cider) for granted.

You were with us in Burleyshire spirit, Milady! (...and the spirit was probably Vodka). Re. photos - yep, there's some good ones to share, and that's yet another reason to get my Flickr crap together. As if putting olde Black Lodge pictures online wasn't incentive enough ;-)
