Bad Seller Feedback
Greetinsg everybody, this post is a warning for a seller who both myself and eowynlove have had contact with. We both have had our emails and LJ comments ignored, been told lame excuses, and have not received ANYTHING from him. The person that we are talking about is named Omar. His livejournal username ia aych_star_arr. Both myself and eowynlove have written up our own summaries of our experience with this man. Here they are:

Last December, I stumbled upon aych_star_arr in serasell and agreed to buy two (2) Seramyu program books and four (4) CDs from him. I sent the total payment (111 USD) for the items and Global Priority shipping (4-6 days) on December 29th and received a confirmation from the seller on the 30th. I was surprised when nothing arrived after a couple of weeks, so I contacted him on January 16th. In his reponse, received on the 19th, he said that he'd check the status of the package and that he'd contact me the next day. Nothing ever came, so I sent another email after a couple of weeks. On February 7th, I received an email with the following message:
"I really apologize for this. I meant to e-mail you, but things have been entirely crazy and I lost my internet access. Got it back, and forgot to e-mail you. I really really really apologize. Apparently there was some problem at international customs with labelling or something absurd and childish like that of which I wasn't informed of at the post office. The entire package came back to my house last week, and this morning I went to the post office and RE-shipped it from a different post office with a clearly smarter person. They explained the issue (something about the label having to explain what it is and it's value). It has been reshipped with delivery confirmation, some form of tracking where they call me and tell me when it gets out of the country, into your country, and to your house. I'm so incredibly sorry for the delay, and I wish I could have prevented this. If it doesn't get there in the next week or two, I am going to fly it out there MYSELF."
So, I calmed down and waited for a few weeks again, and since nothing came, I sent a new email to him, this time on Mach 17th. The response came two days later, and he said that he had contacted the post office and learned that the package was in the customs (no idea in which one) and that it might take up to 90 days for the package to get through both customs. He thought that this was totally absurd and told that he'd call the them again and get in touch with me the next day. Days and weeks passed: nothing. I mailed him on May 10th, re-sent the same message after a couple of days, even tried forwarding it into his LJ and Paypal addesses, but to no avail.
On May 26th, I went and left a comment in aych_star_arr's latest public post in his LJ. After five days of waiting, he left a comment, claiming that he had never received any of my emails. He also said that that he'd replace and re-send the items I had paid for. Knowing that Seramyu program books and out of print CDs don't grow in trees, I found this very incredible. Nevertheless, I responded to his comment, leaving my alternative email address and telling that he could access my post address and the list of the items I had paid for through his Paypal account. Just in case, I waited two days before I sent all the information he had requested through my Gmail account and left a note about it in his journal. I forwarded my latest email to him on June 8th, but the comment he left on May 31st still remains the last sign of him.
Here is my experience with him:
Back in December, Mr Omar Odeh was selling a set of eighteen Sailormoon manga. Due to the rarity of some of the volumes, my love for Sailormoon, and the cheap price, I snagged them up as soon as possible. I swicthed my funds around to try and pay for them, and worked my ass off so that I could have the money for them. On December 17th, he sent me his address and told me to give him my address and Zip Code to see how much 2 or 3 day shipping would cost. All of this information is in his post here: http://community.livejournal.com/serasell/80425.html. I sent the payment on the 19th of December. The shipping method he chose was supposed to take 4-6 days to arrive. After 6 days I had assumed that it was backed up due to the Christmas mail. I emailed him the same email, about 25 times because his email seemed to have problems "recieving mail", and when one finally "got through" he emailed me this: "My post office caught on fire. So, after a few days of sorting mail and getting things back together, I found out that your package was NOT at the post office at the time the fire occured. But it took a little while to get their records back up to find out where it is. Anyway. The last record they have, it was caught up in customs. Apparently Canada has new laws about importation of books (or something like that) and it got caught there for a bit. You should have it in a few days at the most". Few days at the most huh? Well, those days turned into weeks. Well, when I emailed him saying that nothing had gotten there, he said that he would buy me another set of books from his friend Ashley, whos books were in for the most part same condition as the ones that I was going to buy. I cannot find the comment where he said that (he deleted EVERY comment I wrote in his journal) but that was awile ago, and since then, nothing has come. I am very angry at this man for lying to me, and taking hard earned money from me during the HOLIDAYS. I emailed him a warning that is he showed no sign of life by last Monday, then myself and ewoynlove would be leaving negative feedback for him, and so here we are:). I have lost $78 USD (came to over a hundred with exchange rate)
