The Sunday-Monday Edition

May 30, 2005 02:24

I didn't have time to read the newspaper yesterday, so I pretended today was really Sunday and I read it today instead. My gratifying Sunday routine cannot be displaced with formalities of what day it really is, so long as the news is still relevant ( Read more... )

Ay, believe it or not, I did read the whole thang =P somewhat.

I agree with you on the cloning issue. Also I dont think cloning was meant to be....I mean if Cloning is sucessful, it;s obivously going to be misused. Hell in about 100 years we'll have our own cloning machine in our basement probably.

I totoally skipped the sports section. I dont give a frap about sports haha

OKay, the highschool droppouts. Like you said, what are they gonna do about it? I honestly think (realisiticly, not pessimistcly) that this kind of issue is just brought up for the sake of being brought up and they know it's probably not even worth fiddling with and they're NOT gonna. But they bring it up like they care, you know, to make ppl think they actaully care.

But thats just me.

that is a good point. It's so random how they bring up these issues in the paper, like bad education and how teachers are leaving the state because we have no jobs and how we're dumping waste into oour great lakes and w/e the issue of the moment is, but after a while no one cares again.

Fillibusters used to be where a person in the senate keeps talking and talking, and as long as they have the floor, a bill can't yet be voted on. Now it's become something weird where people don't actually have to do the fillibuster, they just have to fill out a form or something. That part I don't really understand.
