I had birthday bear for one of my birthdays - my mum gave it to me as I still had a dummy (I was quite young), I think we have a video of it somewhere. It sits on top of my TV at home, next to my Tux (the Linux penguin thing).

I need to get more Care Bear stuff. Wonder if anybody has put the carebear movie on Kazaa :P

Yes, that's the one :) Yellow.
I may have had or at least seen the movie. And I had a poster with all the different bears on it from Carrefour (supermarket type place). That was how I knew which ones I wanted :)
Weren't Care Bears for girls though Andy? :P

He is so cool. I have a picture on my digital camera somewhere of all the toys on top of my TV, I'll try and dig it out when I go home :)

I will have to take it to my pad :p

I don't think they were solely for girls, and I was young anyway :p

I never had a Care Bear either despite my pleading for one! I wanted the one with the rainbow on its belly. You can get second hand ones in quite good condition cheap off eBay

Apparently that chain Birthdays sell them, I think they are £12 but maybe it was £15.. not too bad anyway. If I can't find one I may get a second hand one, I've often looked but never got around to bidding ;)
I also got a Care Bears tshirt but it was naff and the transfer came off the first time I washed it!

When I was a kid the only Care Bear I had was a little plastic thing. Since I found Ebay, though, I've bought a few plushies online.. and some more of those little plastic things I had as a child. I also used to do voluntary work at a local Salvation Army Family Store, and one day while there I scored a really cool Care Bears video!! My favourite bears are Tenderheart Bear and Good Luck Bear.. although I don't have either of those as plushies yet. I can't believe shops are selling them again!!! *faints* I want some, dammit! I don't know .. I haven't seen any over here in Australia.. but man, I hope we get them!! Does that store that has them in the UK have a website? I'd love to be able to look at it! I hope you can buy yourself a Care Bear.. they are so cool!

Oh, I just love Care Bears so much.. hehe! My nephew who is 6½ years old watches the Care Bear video that I have, and he sometimes even plays with the little plastic Care Bears that I have. It's so cute :)

Awww :) I may have to start collecting them and spending all my wages! :P
I'm sure they will get to Australia.. if the UK and America have them and everyone;s going crazy and nostalgic, its only a matter of time. Do you have a Woolworths? It may be different where you are, I know that in South Africa it's a posh food shop!

Woolworths is a grocery store in Australia, yeah.. but we have like.. a department store of sorts that is associated with Woolworths that is called Big W. Perhaps we will get them there? I hope so.. *fingers crossed* :)
