Another reason to get out of London :/Tomorrow I am working for a well known department store from 1-9pm, I have never done retail before and I guess this is because I told the new agency I could do evenings. It's only £5.50 an hour but it's money, and work, and experience. I'm kind of looking forward to it. Although I will have to remember to ( Read more... )

Well, I have a small amount of retail experience, and IME you have to stay around and do tidying up (hoovering, shelf restacking etc) after the shop has shut. It's not too bad though - and IMHO less work than serving customers.

Oh that would be it then - they said it was mostly going to be stock replenishment or something. I was worrying about being shoved on the tills but apparently that won't happen thank god!! :D

They'd have to train you on the tills first, and they really wouldn't want to do that for someone who's just there temporarily I'd imagine.

As most jobs are, I'm in a 3 month trial thingy, and we'll see from there really, whether it works out for them and for me and Josh to have me working there. Josh has to take 9 days holiday before the end of March and I think the boss thinks it'll be a problem for Josh to have time off work and for me not to. Course it'll be fine, but it'll just show them that we can do this and that it'll work. :-)

Oooh, if you do the hotel in Bristol thing, I know the nicest hotel that you *must* stay at! It's called Thistle Bristol, me Si have been going there for 2 years for our anniversary. It's very posh and quite reasonable, and in the centre of town. You and Stu would love it!

That's one of the ones I saw on lastminute.com! It was at least £75 though for a room.. a bit expensive, we could get into Jury's or somewhere for £60. Does it have lots of posh things like a sauna?!

Be grateful that said would-be poisoners didn't get arrested not 5 minutes away from where you live! :o/

As for honeymoon... I've never been to Crete, so couldn't say. Dave and I are thinking of going to Alaska so we can meet the huskies :D

That near? :( Eeek :/
On the one hand at least they caught them in time, on the other hand how do we know they don't have some friends plotting to do something similar? :/
I want a traditional lazy beach holiday this time around I think.. I like going to cities, and would like to go to some more unusual places, but there's plenty of time for that :) if I had unlimited money I'd go to the Carribean, looks lovely!
