Oh, thanks! And, yeah, I've been a little depressed this afternoon after finishing this fic. My intentions were to write a happy, warm little fic, but Rorschach surprised me there and turned the train around. :-(
When characters do that, I find it's a good thing. It means that I've conceived them so well that they've come "alive", so to speak, and are acting independently.
Frustrating? Yep, but it makes for much more interesting writing. The ending of this fic rings true.
Hands that could break a man into a thousand pieces were moving gently across his face, more gently than he could have thought possible, yet Dan felt like he was being taken apart.
Beautiful. For a first-time NC-17 piece, the whole thing is gorgeous. Well done!
I loved it. Beautifully done...the ending was perfect. Bittersweet, but with a wonderful sense of longing and even a little spark of hope. I just...it was gorgeous!
"Don't touch me!" he snarled as he brushed Dan's hand aside. He drew his trench coat closer around his body, as if it was his last shred of armor, despite the warmth of the night and the close quarters of the tunnel that surrounded them.
Dan was propelled a step backwards from the force of emotion, and his arm dropped limply to his side..
Somehow that kinda hurt. Bad. Even worse than last lines.
