Loving Life

You know what? I'm just . . . happy. Life is honestly good. I *love* my job - I think that academic medicine is really my niche. I love coming to work every day, the job challenges me almost every second and the people I work with are fantastic ( Read more... )

Good you are so content with that rich, full life of yours! Loving your job is amazing---there's NOTHING like loving coming to work.

I know! It's the first time I've ever felt like this, but it's a great job and working with medical researchers tends to mean that their passion is very much there and alive. The people around here say "thank you" when you go above and beyond. They don't take themselves too seriously. And they work with high-risk pregnancies, but aren't like typical doctors and work the midwives and doulas in to the birth plans with the moms, which is rare.

It's nice to look around and realize that you're happy. I love it when happy sneaks up on you. :)
