Because we were on a wait, I asked her if she would like to sit immediately at the bar, and she declined, forcefully. I added her to the list. You know, I think everyone should have a job like that, if just once. It's humbling, and it teaches you how to handle everyone--and I mean everyone--with patience and respect. Of course, that's not to mention that sometimes you don't have an alternative when it comes to finding a job, and sometimes those jobs pay more.

Why, what kind of a job do you have?

You're sitting in a box instead of experiencing life, as ugly as it can get. I don't think I'd choose that over my jobs.

And maybe you'd make a better customer if you experienced the other side.
