I recently moved from a place that's already done what you're about to do. I live in another such place right now. My husband is bisexual, and doesn't much care if his command knows it. Being out and comfortable hasn't made a damn bit of difference to how well people do their jobs - in either of these places - for twenty years or more. If anything, they work better with one less thing to worry about and be afraid of.
In short...you won't regret this. :)
