You know, I was wondering about this story in the morning. lol. Talk about timing.
And we finally get to the one of the demons that's bothering Ginny. When you put it out there, it makes sense that Harry walking past her without talking to her would definitely scar her trust in him. Makes it more angsty waiting for the next chapter. *bounces in seat* I seriously cannot wait for the next chapter!
I thought there was going to be more of a discussion between Harry and George but I guess this is more them. I wonder if Ron will try to discuss it with Harry like right before the mission. And I hope Scott gets through it as well. I had the thought that he would be the one not to return. I hope I'm wrong.
Perhaps this story will be done by 2013? Hmm, just depressing thinking about it.
Glad you liked the chapter. I'll probably wait a few weeks to post the next one. These last few are linked pretty tightly together, so I'm hesitant to post too quickly in case something in a later chapter makes earlier things change.

Oh, Merlin, I hope so! In fact, Ashwinder has challenged me to finish by the end of September. That would be some incredibly fast writing for me. I wrote Chapter 57 in three weeks. Not sure I can do two in a month, but we'll see.
Writing sprints. Yes, you can do it, even if your final two chapters are 8000 words each, that's only 16000 words. I wrote twice that in 2 weeks doing the sprints.
Just like lord_spyridon, I had been thinking of this story for the past couple of days. We definitely had a wild ride in the Harry-Ginny' insanity roller coaster. One of Ginny's biggest demon made her debut with fantastic revues but hopefully, no encore performance. The root of her fears is all center in that moment in which Harry face death without no knowledge from her. Ginny is trying to get a firm hold on her anxieties and it seems like life just throw more curves at her than she can handle

Great chapter!ciscochicSeptember 6 2012, 03:20:39 UTC
Another wonderful installment! Glad to see Harry and the brothers come to an understanding... although George is being a complete jerk about the whole thing. Still. How many times has Ginny told him to back off? When's he going to get it through his thick skull? Hopefully he'll butt out for the rest of the story, unless it's to truly HELP Ginny work through her demons, not just try to keep them apart.
Also glad to see Ginny unearth the issue that was stuck in her brain from a couple of chapters back, and that she and Harry were able to have a meaningful conversation about it. I'm not sure what the last paragraph is supposed to insinuate, though.... is Harry asking her to promise to "go on" if he gets killed, and she says she'll think about it? That doesn't seem like the right way for him to go 'off to battle' as it were, without him being horribly distracted by worrying about her. Or maybe I'm just misreading the whole passage!
This story is beyond fantastic and I can't wait to read the next chapter(s)!!

Yes, Harry is asking her to "go on" if he gets killed, but her answer is meant to be a reason for him to come back. And remember, Harry's pretty good at compartmentalizing. ;P
Glad you liked the chapter. Hope to have another up soon.
What a fantastic chapter!pinkphoenix1985September 8 2012, 19:51:28 UTC
Despite not being a two parter :( (You spoil us with them--and yay for LJ word limits ;P), I felt that this was a jam-packed chapter with a lot going on

I only do two-parters when LJ is being a pain -- my chapters are all between 5-10K, but mostly on the 10K end of the spectrum.
The only creative writing courses I've taken is one on-line course that I found marginally helpful. I've also picked up a lot of tips by following the blogs of several writers and agents. And I have the two best betas in the world who don't hesitate to let me know when I haven't done my best work. I guess my best suggestions are to read good writing, find some writing partners who are better than you are and will be honest with you, and just keep writing (and editing and editing and editing...). Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
