This ritual led to us actually paying full price to see Valentine with David Boreanaz. Worst. Movie. Ever. Made.
The book is a lot better. It has little in common with the book except a similar plot device. Also why did his nose bleed whenever he killed in the movie? Was it just so that we would know he was the killer at the end?
I actually read the Valentine book before I saw the movie. I heard that David was gonna be in it, and I happened to see the book at Borders a few months before the movie came out. I bought it, loved it, and could not wait to see him in this part. The movie was just SO bad...It really had little to do with the book at all, except the concept of a wronged man seeking revenge against those who wronged him. Otherwise, it was not even remotely the same :( Very disappointing. But I do recommend the book!
I'm a nut, so I actually liked Valentine with DB in it. It was ok I wasn't crazy over it, but I didn't mind watching it. I did watch it on DVD though, if I had paid to see it I might have not been happy. You have to remember Sho I actually loved the original BTVS Movie. I have it on DVD and still watch it sometimes. I don't know what this says about me, but hey, that's me. The Grudge like I told you did it's job and scared the crap out of me and again SMG did good with what she got, after all she was just the girl that was scared shitless. It was scary though! I am going to go watch that new re-encarnation movie with Nicole Kidman. I will let you know what I think if you still value my opinion.

Of course I still value your opinion! lol Actually, I think I detested Valentine so much because I read the book first, and it was SO good! The movie was just not anything like the book at all. They never are...But this one was really off! If the movie had been like the book DB would have had a real chance for some depth. The movie just ended up being a slasher film with no real purpose. I knew he could do better, despite what some Buffy fans say about his acting :P
And I enjoyed the Grudge. I was scared by it! I just didn't understand some of it...lol
