So I've been working really hard on my writing and so far I think it's going pretty well! I've written 88 pages so far, and that's really after working on it less than 7 days, cause it's been a little over a week, but a couple of days I didn't have time to work on it. If someone in the story is using a pet name like man, bro, baby, sweetheart etc. Should that be capitalized? I get a little confused, which ends up where sometimes I'm capitalizing and other times I'm not. I need to get the actual correct way so I can change what needs to be changed.

I'm not a writer, hell I'm not even English ;-), but I really don't think pet names should be capitalized. I'm like 99% sure of that.

So glad you are getting back into your love with writing. I have always found it so therapeutic, a great way to work things out crowding my head, and I hope it helps you just the same.

in regards to the pet names, i'm pretty sure that they shouldn't be capitalized. I think only nicknames, like say, "Ali", should be capitalized, as they are shorter versions for the formal names.

And gah, i HATE grammar check being on. Drives me insane. Don't worry yourself with the grammar right now. Just get the ideas out and screw with the details later.

I vote no, only proper names and places should be capitalised.

To answer the semi colon thing, I googled it for you, and if you visit Here you will find your answer explained, because I suck at explaining things myself :o)
