I used to write fic. Not a whole lot, and nothing I ever finished, but I put my ideas into writing. I don't really do it anymore. I wrote better in high school than I do now. I'm not sure if it's just falling out of practice, or if my brain has changed and I've gotten more into math/science than liberal arts.
Anyhow,

I tried it with different snippets from one of my more current fics (but I haven't written anything real in a long time, so current = more than half a year ago) and I first got Dan Brown (wtf, I don't know if that's a good thing or not) and someone named Vladimir Nabokov. Hmm.

And the last stuff I actually wrote (not just outlines, etc) was probably my senior year in high school or a year after that. I graduated in May 2005. Yep.
I have a vivid imagination, but I can't write anymore to my satisfaction. It bugs me. I can still BS a paper for a class pretty well, but writing fiction doesn't come so easily anymore.
I'm majoring in microbiology so I've been immersed in science and math related classes for a while now. It's taking over my brain!

Ooh, you've been having a fic dry spell for so much longer than I have! I feel for ya, and I definitely hope that you get your muse back sometime. :)
I feel exactly the same about having a great imagination but just not being able to put metaphorical pen to paper. I'm pretty ace at BS-ing papers too, haha.
Gaaah, science/math classes will do that to you. D:
