hmm gotta say it: after hearing what those aussie soldiers in QLD did to those cats not sure if I can take this picture seriously.

that and I'm sorry honey I acknowledge your right and your desire to support australian troops and I will support you in that.

but I will certainly not support anyone who is prepared to head off an help to kill innocent civilians. "heros"?? there are much better ways that a person can be a hero in this life.

nobody sacrificed themself for me or for my way of life

Fortunately, not all soldiers are as bad as that group was. Evil men :(

What I support in regards to the troops is them going over there because it is their job. I don't think Australia would even be a terrorist target if it weren't for our association with america.

I don't think they are heroes. But I do feel sorry for anyone stuck away from home for the sake of work at this time of year. If the poem had been written by oil riggers or overseas reporters or whatever, it still would have affected me.

And I like to think that some soldiers out there do value life, somehow...

I put the picture there because I liked it.

The poem was by an american? Ugh. What appealed to me was that it was supposedly by an Australian soldier, and all I ever hear is american this, and american that, and never about our involvement.

That's crappy :/

I don't agree with war, and I know our troops are only involved because of america, but it's their job, and that's what I support. Read my earlier comment to solastuan.

From what I understand, a large number of our military does mop-up operations after america has blown everything to smithereens.
