Spot will not be killed. You'll tell me I'm wrong, and that's fine, because I'm not going to bother explaining to you how I know he wont be.
You also don't know anything about me decision in regards to getting another cat. Of course, you didn't ask either.

Also, why the hell would most breeders guarantee the health of the animals they sell, if they don't expect to have a sickly animal returned when they occasionally happen?
You're acting like taking advantage of all the parts of a contract is wrong, and like Rose is taking the kitten in to be killed, then asking for a replacement. That is simply wrong, and incorrect. You don't have all the facts in this case, and how would this be any different than the kitten getting sick because it wasn't sold on the exact day it was, while still at the breeders? This is the same thing, it just happened to have been in Stephen and Whyrl's care for a while, and at one point in Rose's care before she came over to the USA for a bit.
And from what I've seen, Rose doesn't beg for donations, she begs for commissions occasionally when she needs extra cash. Guess what? She's being payed to do work, labor, not given hand-outs. There's a distinct difference between the two.
