..or at least, I could have been. We were just coming home from a (brilliant) Halloween night out and were passing the gateway of an old ruined house when some kids who had built a bonfire there (we know exactly who they are - they're from a house up the road) set off a firework at our car. It hit the car and got lodged under the passenger's side

I'm all *glad you're not deaded*. Kids are stupid. I do kinda hope that at some point they stop fireworks being sold to the general public and make it displays only. Although that probs makes me a killjoy.

ON THE PLUS SIDE, you now have an opportunity to plan your last words, seeing as you were unhappy with your spur of the moment choice. Although tbh they seemed rather appropriate to me.
