Click to see 2003: the review 1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? traveled abroad, graduated college, began a career, lived completely on my own, went to the Olympic Games!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I said I would make one and I don't really recollect it...probably something about enjoying my last semester, which I did. I need to make one this year--to continue to be more outgoing.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No, but a couple family members are pregnant now
4. Did anyone close to you die? not anyone close to me
5. What countries did you visit? Greece, Romania, and the airport in France (if that counts)
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? my mother as cancer free
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? May 8--graduation day!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? *finally* answering my calling and becoming a teacher
9. What was your biggest failure? not following through or just not taking the initiative in the first place
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I had a migraine and had some foot pains, but those are fairly minor
11. What was the best thing you bought? all of my Olympic programmes :)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My mother--who continues to be the strongest person I have ever known
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? I don't know if I would pick those adjectives, but I would have to say the behavior of some of my sisters
14. Where did most of your money go? Olympic souvenirs
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? the mission trip to the Olympics
16. What song will always remind you of 2004? "Breakaway"--Kelly Clarkson
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? happier
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter by a little, I think. I'm not real sure
iii. richer or poorer? richer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? kept in better touch with my mission trip girls
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? wasted my energy on problems I couldn't fix because they weren't considered to be problems by those involved
20. How will you be spending Christmas? with my family on Big A
21. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2004? Hmm...I don't think I did anything embarrassing, because if I did I'd think I would remember it
22. Did you fall in love in 2004? Even more in love with God
23. How many one-night stands? zero
24. What was your favorite TV program? American Dreams and The Biggest Loser!
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Not hate, just disillusionment and disappointment
26. What was the best book you read? Glorious Appearing didn't disappoint me
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Avalon
28. What did you want and get? a real world job
29. What did you want and not get? this is going to sound horrible, I'm sure...but friends.
30. What was your favorite film of this year? Ella Enchanted
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 22 and I don't really remember what I did, but I do remember I did a huge BS paper I had procrastinated on the night before, so I'm sure I was tired.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? A truly happy and healthy family.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004? college student trapped in teacher's clothing
34. What kept you sane? mi madre, God, Foxy, and Tavo (whether he knows that or not)
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Taylor Dent :) haha
36. What political issue stirred you the most? the election and the "war"
37. Who did you miss? Felicia, Jamie, Denisha, Erin, and Jesse
38. Who was the best new person you met? Sheila, aka Mrs. Stapleton
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004. God totally knows what He's doing, just take the plunge for Him and He'll definitely take care of you. Being a blesing to someone else can be a blessing to you!
