In twelve days, I write the first SOA Exam.  This is the first step in my journey to becoming an Actuary.  The exam is on probability and statistics.  It is 30 questions, multiple choice and you are given three hours to write it.  I wrote it about 7 months ago, when I was working full time, and failed it miserably, though I really had no hope of ( Read more... )

But remember, that while there is pressure to take and pass the exam, you can take it again (and again). :) Many people take it more than once (or twice). Same is true with many of the professional certifications, like in project management, etc.

This is true, though part of me feels like if I can't pass it this time, I can't pass it. Hardest thing is the time constraint. I just wrote another one, answered 21 questions and got 19 of them correct.

My head hurts.
