Kidlit! Hooray kidlit! Besides the ones you listed already, what are your favourite works in that genre?

Especially at school...to the outside observer, I look like a total mess, but that's when I'm on top of my game.
I write my best papers that way, usually. What I put together in two days will always sound so much better than I what I worked on and over-thought for two months. What are majoring in?

I'm a double major, history and foreign languages (german and spanish). I'm crazy!

Other kidlit favourites are Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the Prairie, Emil und the Detektive/Emil and the Detectives, the Chronicles of Narnia, and Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh. Any favourites of yours?
