ok, not that anyone cares, but just in case anyone was worried that i died or something, i am still here. anyway, my fabulous christmas break is winding down - i fly back to st. louis on sunday. Carolyn hun, listen to me. You love your quintet, you love music, hell you almost majored in it. You can't quit it. I know you want to do the right thing for your parents and pacify them but you can't do that at the expense of your happiness. You and I know how hard you worked this semester and it was not your lack of time that prevented your from doing I won't even say well, because you did do amazing, I'll say as well as your parents wanted you to do. You could qut everything and just sit in your room and study all the time and I still don't know that it would help, not cuz your not smart, your amazingly smart, but because they are asking you to take Physics, Chemisty, and Calculus all in one semester and that is insane. Not to mention it is a top ten school. Don't give up something you love it'll just make you hate school. And I don't want you to hate school. If you have to do something delete solitaire or sleep more. That will help. Especially the sleep thing. I dont know how you can make your parents understand. I ( ... )

thanks ju! i know you're right - just my natural insecurity coming out in that post. but i'm going to stop belaboring my complaints and just move on. bye till sunday!

hi there. one thing that i have noticed at wash U is that everyone is REALLY good at managing their time. it shocked me when i first realized it...because i am DEFINITELY not good at managing my time. my point is, maybe it's not that you need to quit things, but you just need to utilize more free time. go to the library between classes, stay in one (and only one!) night on the weekend, something like that ( ... )
