The darkness
It was no secret in the underground world that Reed Richards was Victor Von Doom’s grand prize and by that it means being pampered, loved, spoiled, and under 24 hours surveillance watches. Most people would think that Victor had manipulated Reed, but Reed isn’t as naïve as he appears to be. There is a small but powerful darkness lurking inside his heart, a darkness that only Von Doom can see.
You see like Victor Reed want money and the things it can bring but unlike Victor he don’t want the fame came with it, he wanted a quiet life with little interruptions. It had started when they first met in collage but back then Victor was the one pursuing Reed and Reed knew that of course being the genius he was.
He knew Victor was going to be a famous billionaire one day and he or rather his darkness was already planning on how to piggy back on that success because it knew Reed could never be that way. So Reed had clung on to Victor for guidance and protection, the darkness could do that, but somehow Reed decided to trust Victor over his own mind. But the darkness don’t seem to mind, as long as Reed get what it wanted everything’s fine.
So the darkness wasn’t happy when Reed started dating Susan Strom or the-no-good-plan-ruining-bitch as the darkness called her. When Reed started to date Susan he had turned away from Victor and the darkness could just sense Victor’s bruised ego going into overdrive like it did. But Victor couldn’t do anything about that because of his pride he simply couldn’t show that he needed Reed and he was jealous of Susan. But when Susan stepped out of the picture for just a bit the darkness worked again and Reed was with Victor again, just like it had planed.
