ooooo you pulled!! go back. Trust me, there was this guy called Silva at a local KFC who had a bit of a thing for me, he'd give me extra food (just incase you don't know I love free food- it really is one of my favourite things), it worked out well and I'd put up with him running out of KFC shouting to me everytime I walked past. I worked about 3 doors down so this was every day.
So go, you love KFC maybe you'll get free food too.
What about somewhere just outside of London. Like herts, it can be expensive to commute by train but to commute by bus is cheap as the london busses run services and they only charge a fixed rate of £1 something, plus renting is cheaper and if you worked in london you'd get london weighting.
Free food sounds good, but I'm far too embarassed by the whole thing. Besides he wasn't at all good looking and seemed a bit strange, as well as looking far too old for me. One of them looked younger, but the other looked almost 30. I would be way too embarassed to even look at him, let alone speak to him. If I was at all interested I would go for it, but as I don't have any interest in him it's awful!
I had thought a little about living somewhere outside London. I've never been to Herts, I don't know anything about it except that you live in that area! I like the idea of actually living in a big city though, which is why I wanted to rent somewhere in London. I don't know though, I'm going to see whether I get a job there before I worry too much about where to live.
I suppose the whole london city doesnt appeal to me as i lived there before but it will be a great experience, there is always so much to do and so much to see and learn too. sometimes i miss london expecially when i go back and remember all the times i saw these places before. would you not be nervous about teaching in a london school with all those unruly kiddies?
Yes a little nervous! I'm hoping to get a reasonable school though, plus I did a placement in Blackpool in a socially deprived area so I don't think it would be too much different as long as I didn't get a school in one of the really really awful areas. I'm more worried about getting a lot of kids who don't speak much English because they are really tricky to teach.
Have you thought of trying for a job where you live first, save up a little, then move to London? Or do what Ellesbelles says, sounds like good advice. In any case, don't settle for a bad job just cuz you need it now; it'll be worse in the long run.
I did think about that but to be honest although I love living at home with all it's advantages I'm getting to the point where I just want to be independant so even if I got a job here I would be looking to move out. Also I have a problem with spending my savings on renting somewhere since it's paying money out that you never see again because you don't own the house. I do have quite a lot saved at the moment but I want to keep it to put the deposit on a house when I buy one. (House prices are terrible here, it's really hard to afford even a tiny place and morgages are ridiculously expensive if you don't have a large deposit.) Also I want to do it now because I'm impatient!
Lol, I read the suggestion in your LJ. I'll be taking it up soon! :)
:S My sister is going through the same problem, trying to live on her own but not making enough money to manage it; she actually needs my parents more now, to lend her money XD In any case, maybe you're too young to be thinking of buying a house? Don't be impatient; you don't even know how long it'll take you to find a suitable job and place, so don't rush things :) (Or do whatever you want and be happy!!! :D )
