Here are updated pictures of the new kitty. We decided to name her Calla as in Calla Lily. Calla lillies are the lillies that grow around the Nile Egypt and appear in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, so they are also referred to as the Lily of the Nile. I thought that was really cool since I love ancient Egypt and Calla looks like a very light

dude can i just say, spike is a FAT-FAT! hehehehe but still a cute fat-fat. and the new kitty is adorable, particularly the drowned rat picture where you are holding her and she's making a face like the kitties in those 'is it monday already?' posters do :)

Yes Spike is very fat...he's been on a diet for like a year now and hasn't lost anything but I just got him some prescription food, so hopefully that will help. I just don't know if I want to give it to him because it's low-quality food...the first ingredient is chicken by-product which is like the beak, feet, and whatever else is left over from the chicken. The food they've been eating has chicken meal listed as the first ingredient which is much better, but I guess it's healthier for him to lose weight. Louie is kinda of fat too. But they've been playing with Calla and chasing her around, so maybe they'll burn off some of that fat ahahaha.

She was so cute after her baths...I gave her two because the first one didn't remove as many fleas as I had hoped and I didn't have a flea comb so I went over to the petstore and got flea shampoo and a comb and that got rid of most of the fleas.

I'm not a cat person, but looking at those made me want to become one. She's absolutely beautiful.

And also, I've never seen someone with eyes the colour of yours. Excuse the random-ness, but just an observance.

Haha you would probably like my boys then, they act more like dogs than cats. As for the new kitty, I know! She's so pretty. I really want her eyes to stay that color, but baby animals have blue eyes like baby humans and their eyes will turn a different color when they get older. Spike had such pretty eyes when I got him. They were like brown with a blue haze over them. Now his eyes are yellow with a green ring in the center. My little brother's cat's eyes were really pretty blue when he was a baby but now he has the really yellow cat eyes. So I don't know what color her eyes will turn out to be, but I hope they stay somewhat blue. My other kitty Louie has beautiful green eyes but I didn't have him as a baby so I don't know what his eyes looked like then.

Yeah. I love cats eyes. One of the houses I watch has one pure white, short haired cat. Except the 3 inch end of his tail is sort of black and white speckled. Has the brightest green eyes I've ever seen in my life. I should really get some pictures next time I take care of their house.
