22 yrs old is too young to die in a nursing home. I am just extremely angry right now.

A guy I was working with died in the nursing home before we could move him out. It just angers me because it's a shitty place to live out your last years, no matter how old.

I wish I had something profound to say, but I can't think of anything. So instead, I'll just send you some hugs!

The quality of your life measured by the years in your life, but the life in your years. So go live life! And be happy!

Ok not only did you type the quote wrong, but it's somewhat inappropriate for the situation I was referring to. Any age is too young to die in a nursing home and the person I was talking about died at the age of 22 after being in said nursing home for 2 years unable to move or communicate. I was given the task of helping this young man learn to use a communication device so that he at least had the ability to speak his mind but he died before I was able to do anything. He spent the last 2 years of his life surrounded by strangers and living in a place that would be very difficult for most to ever call home. I would say he didn't have much life at all in his last several years and that really sucks. So thanks for the inappropriate comment.

Sorry I'm not meaning to sound so bitter, but the situation still angers me and all I can do is move on and try to help those that I can while I can.
